Millpaca Females Shine at Hawkesbury Show

The depth of our females was highlighted this weekend at the Hawkesbury Show winning 5 out of 5 championships and 1 reserve championship.
French Kiss then went on to win Supreme Champion which was her 2nd Supreme at the Hawkesbury Show.

Tesk Centaur kept the males on a high winning Champion Mature Male.

In all we were over the moon with the results from all 16 of our team, winning 15 first’s & 1 second.
A first & third in the Sires progeny capped off a truly great day.

Most Succesful Exhibitor

Millpaca was awarded the most successful halter exhibitor at the Royal Sydney Show. Our team of 21alpacas were awarded 3 x championships, 2 x reserve championships, 8 x firsts, 6 x seconds, 4 x thirds, 1 x forth and 1highly commended. Fortune Seeker was awarded Supreme Champion, Champion Senior male and Best Light Fawn.

From the 11 fleeces entereI, 6 were awarded ribbons. 1 x first, 3 x seconds, 1 x third and 1 forth.

Alpaca Showcase at the Easter Show

Come and visit us at the Alpaca Showcase in the dairy pavilion at the Royal Easter Show. You can see shearing demonstrations, spinning & weaving, things to buy and of course lots of alpacas.

Ambersun Fortune Seeker was again awarded Supreme Champion at the Camden Show on the weekend.
That makes 3 shows in a row for our top stud male.

The rest of our team did very well again with everyone getting a ribbon.

5 x Seconds
2 x Thirds

We had another great day in and out of the ring at the Moss Vale Ag Show yesterday.
Full results from our team will be posted on our Show Results page soon, but the standout awards for the day were:-
Ambersun Fortune Seeker was awarded Supreme Champion Huacaya.
French Kiss was Champion Mature Female and was also in the final 4 for supreme champion.
Black Kight, our champion black stud male won a Reserve Championship in a strong mature male line-up.
Another reserve went to our brown girl Celtic Veneta, and the Junior white female class we had 3 girls entered, and they won 1st, 2nd & 3rd with the championship going to Highlight.
And to top it off, Millpaca was Most Successful Exhibitor.

Jane Vaughan snapped this photo of one several embryo’s just before it was placed into it’s new home for the next 11 months.
This Et cria along with many natural matings will hit the ground late 2012/early 2013.

Millpaca wins at Royal Canberra

The stars and planets were all aligned for Millpaca and our show team on Sunday, as we had a fabulous day.
We caught up with friends and met new ones and also managed to win a ribbon or two.
Ambersun Fortune Seeker won Supreme Champion, Best Light Fawn and Champion Senior Male.
Banksia Park Tesk Centaur won Champion Senior Male to hang alongside his Reserve Champion fleece ribbon.
With great success from all our animals Millpaca was awarded Most Successful Exhibitor.
2012 Royal Canberra Alpaca Show will take some getting over!
